Media Buys

This is truly one of my favorite things to do.  Creating media buy that fits your business.  As you know, marketing is a mix of art and science. You can increase your odds of success simply by having a strategy. Your strategy hits the right audience, at the best budget, and consistently. There are few overnight successes in our fragmented media world, but there are successes. To people that question the effectiveness of advertising I always quote them several advertising campaigns, all of which they can tell me the products or service, it works. It takes time, commitment, and a good strategy.

Since I work with small business, I do things different than a regular ad agency media buying service. Ad agencies charge a percentage of the ad buy.  I have never agreed with this model. I feel it is hard for someone to be bias if they are receiving a bigger commission. Rather than a percentage fee of the total buy, I charge an hourly rate.

How it works:

  • I maintain and build relationships in the industry. I have built many connections and friendships over the years with those in the media industry. Often, I receive calls from account executives that reach out to me when they have special buys, and more often than not receive better deals for the number of buys that I have placed over the years.

  • We review your marketing plan and do a quick audit of your marketing goals and key performance indicators.

  • I gather and research the best media for your business.I know the local media inside and out. But, if there happens to be an avenue that I have not pursued outside of our market I will research to find the best fit.I gather current rate cards and specials from media that is being considered.

  • I strategically create a plan within your goals and budget in mind.

  • We meet & agree on the plan (or make adjustments as needed). You sign the contracts.

  • Production time- Typically I will have you will work directly with the media outlet to create your production. This give you time to build the relationship for future PR value!

  • Once the campaign is rolling, we review the campaign every 45 days.
